FaithLife and Faith Foundations are linked to Oasis Church and the Accelerate School of Ministry in Hereford, UK. This site is where the Faith Foundations teaching resources are found. Faith Foundations has been developed from Water Carriers by Jonathan Rendall which addressed the needs of children and young people in East African countries, especially Tanzania.
Faith Foundations uses the excellent course content of Water Carriers and its somewhat African spirituality, presenting the material in a way more suitable for adults to reflect on, discuss – and use in the Jesus-taught way of ‘disciples making disciples’.
The principle is that participants receive online teaching modules five days a week to do the Bible study and reflection themselves, like an extended ‘quiet time’. They then come together to discuss it and ‘own’ it together in the School. With prayerful engagement, sharing and familiarity, people on the course will grow in confidence to take out these spiritual life principles, and share them simply with others within their circle, who are exploring Christian faith or consolidating a recent commitment to the Lordship of Jesus.
The team behind Faith Foundations include Phil Arnold, Jonathan Rendell and Ian Greig. Its teaching position is a biblical and fully trinitarian theology with influences from Church of England, Baptist, New Church and Cell Church pioneers.
But it’s all for Jesus and His glory – that He might build His church as we follow His command to grow Jesus disciples.
